This weekend we had a processing glitch which I’d like to share with everyone. I am writing about it because I feel it’s important for players to understand the complexity of the banking mechanisms at an online casino and because I don’t mind exposing “mishaps” to the public.
We had a player that had a nice winning streak and went to make a $12,000 withdrawal. Unfortunately the account where that money was being processed from had reached a minimum limit meaning the withdrawal was stopped. The player received an insufficient funds notification, which would give anybody a heart attack when making a withdrawal from a casino! To make a long story short, one of the automated procedures we have in place for funding this account broke down and thus we were left with egg on our face. To make matters slightly worse since it occurred over the weekend there really wasn’t much we could do since we’re dependant on the bank for manual adjustments.
Needless to say we’ve rectified the situation and put new stopgaps in place to ensure this type of thing doesn’t happen again. So when and if your online casino withdrawal gets sidelines somewhere keep in mind that it’s not always as easy as 1,2,3…
