Off to visit Microgaming..

Next week we have a special trip to the Microgaming development center in Durban, South Africa. We will be exposed to new developments, games, and all sorts of other cool stuff. I will do my best to post everything online but if you want real time updates be sure to follow up on Twitter.

In addition to hearing what they have to say, we have our own ideas about some software improvements we’d like to share with them. We do everything we can to ensure a smooth gaming experience and as part of that promise we work very closely with Microgaming to deliver a great casino.

Wish me a safe trip!

You may recall that, a while back, I announced that I would be writing occasionally about some of the lesser know Jackpot Factory games that I thought people might enjoy playing if they knew a little more about them. I started with Casino War, and now it’s time to take a look at Sic Bo.

The main idea of Sic Bo is simple: you are betting on the outcome of a roll of three dice. There are many different types of bets you can make. You can bet that the total of the three dice will be a specific amount, or you can bet that it will simply be Big or Small. You can bet that at least one of the dice will be a specific number, you can bet on a double, or you can bet on a triple. Each type of bet has different payout odds. The biggest payout is 180 to 1 for a specific triple. A 5-Euro bet on Triple Fives, for example, could win you 900 Euros.

Many people get turned off by their first look at the Sic Bo table because it looks so confusing. But if you take just a minute to look at it a little more closely, it all becomes clear. All the different boxes on the Sic Bo table simply represent the different types of Sic Bo bets you can make and the payout if you win.

Playing Sic Bo is the most fun when you place a few different bets on each roll of the dice: maybe one with low odds, one with medium odds, and one with high odds.

So why not give Sic Bo a try, and let me know how you like it.

All Slots Goes Platinum

All Slots Casino has released a new online slot game called Pure Platinum. It follows on the tail of Liquid Gold (released in January) and Sterling Silver (released in July). So now you can play all your precious metals at All Slots.

Besides some brilliant graphics of platinum bars, platinum records, platinum watches, and everything platinum, Pure Platinum has some special slots features that will add to your enjoyment of the game. One is the Free Spins feature, which allows you to choose the number of free spins and your multiplier value. Another is the Wild Symbol Stack, which increases your chances of getting a winning combination.

All in all, I think Pure Platinum is an online slot machine that everyone can enjoy playing.

Just one word of warning: you’d better wear your sunglasses when you play this game. When I say the graphics are brilliant, I mean they are really brilliant.   Enjoy!

Texas Hold ‘Em Is Here

It’s the most popular card game in the world. It’s Texas Hold ‘Em Poker. And now you can play it online at Wild Jack and all the Jackpot Factory casinos.

If you’re already a Texas Hold ‘Em player, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can now play your favorite game at your favorite online casino. If you’re new to Texas Hold ‘Em, I suggest that you play a few practice games before you jump in for real, because it’s a little bit complicated. (But not too complicated; all it takes is a few practice games to get the hang of it.)

The gist of Texas Hold ‘Em is that you have two pocket cards, the dealer has two pocket cards, and there are five community cards that you can both use to complete your hand. There are four betting rounds, called the Ante, the Flop, the Turn, and the River. There is also a Bonus bet with bigger payouts, which is a special feature you won’t see in other Texas Hold ‘Em games. As in most poker games, the key to long-term success in Texas Hold ‘Em is to know when to hold ‘Em, know when to fold ‘Em.

So give online Texas Hold ‘Em a try, and let me know what you think. And don’t be surprised if Texas Hold ‘Em soon becomes your favorite card game too.

A New Look at All Jackpots

Have you visited the All Jackpots website lately? It has a totally new look, thanks to the amazing work of the Jackpot Factory Creative Department, and you really ought to check it out.

The Jackpot Factory Creative Department is a team of mostly young, mildly eccentric, and extremely talented artists and designers who create the look and feel of our casinos’ websites. And now, with their work on the All Jackpots site, they have really outdone themselves.

The first word that popped into my mind when I saw the new site was “elegant.” That’s just the immediate impression that it made on me. And now I would like you all to take a look for yourselves and tell me the one word that first occurs to you.

In the meantime, I would like to offer my congratulations and appreciation to Maria and Gil and the rest of the Creative Department, and also to the technical people who helped make their artistic vision an online reality.   Well done, everybody!
