Freedom of information…

A few weeks ago I broke some news here about a US payment option that was leaving the market in it’s current form and then re-entering under the banner of a new option. The catch was that it would only be offered to current active users. Apparently, when this payment options saw my posting they ran straight to one of our executives wanting to know who this Brickman character was and why he’s posting such confidential material!

I contested their claim on a few grounds. I said, as soon as they go public, every forum in the online casino world would have posts about it, plus, our players have the right to know what’s going on in the industry. Suffice it to say I was right. My personal beliefs are to tell people the truth and provide as much real time information as possible. I would like to hear your thoughts about the flow of information from casinos and if you feel there is enough transparency out there? Waiting to hear from everyone…

I think it is ok to tell us what’s going on. It was (for me) just a validation that this was on the “up and up”. Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether an email is just spam with a bad outcome or if it is real. Thanks.

  2. Nicolette D Says:

Personally, I really feel that the US Government should NOT have a say in where I spend my money..Lord knows they take enough of it in taxes before I even see it! The American banks want all our business and then want to step in and say sorry “transaction denied”, just doesn’t seem fair. Thought we were the Land of the Free and The Home of the Brave!? I should have the freedom to spend my money wherever I wish!

    Dear David,
I applaud you for speaking out when you had the chance and not waiting for some bigshot to give you permission to speak. The freedom of speech article says it all.
It really bothers me, the way some casinos treat you as if you were a small child, who does not understand anything more complicated than 2+2. Do they think that just because we like gaming, that we have low IQs? Try asking support a serious question. The response is usually “please put your query in writing and send it to support. It will be answered as quickly as possible”. Excuse me, but I thought I was “talking” to support. Even when you do put the request in writing, 90% of the time, you get back a form letter, saying we have received your query and will respond soon. Then nothing.
Yes, I think there should be more people like you David, not afraid to speak up and speak out!!

  4. Corey Carroll Says:

What an arrogant representative from Ecocard!

As USA gamblers, we have the right to know if a payment processor which has specifically advertised their services to USA gamblers as one of the few payment processors that will work with us is about to “pull the rug” out from under us.

What is their plan? The people that don’t wager enough, are they just going to take our bankrolls like Neteller did, or hold them for many months? This is totally unacceptable!

I have seen the second website they are preparing and it is just like the first except for new graphics. I think this move is VERY SNEAKY and I don’t like it. I haven’t been invited to the new service yet, so I’m very worried about my bankroll.

Also Ecocard is very unprofessional in that they don’t have a phone number for USA users. The phone number they have looks like it is in the United Kingdom. I’ve never emailed Ecocard, so I don’t know how fast that service is, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes them 2 days to answer your emails.

  5. Tina Padziora Says:

    Kudos to you David!
I seldom have time to read blogs and such but always make time to swing by here as i know I will get the latest on anything that is “Need to Know!”
Going against the Corporate minds or putting their business out to the public is not something a lot of people have the fortitude nor “Kahonas”for and I know first hand just how “REAL” it can get sometimes so I applaud you long and loud!

  6. KANDACE Says:

HOW RIGHT YOU ARE AND THEY TAKE 2 TO 3 DAYS TO EMAIL BACK!! PLUS THEY SET YOUR LIMIT SO SMALL THE MAX A MONTH IS WHAT I CAN SPEND IN A WEEK PLUS WITH THE ” NEW ” ECO YOU STILL CAN ONLY REGISTER 1 CARD AND FEES ARE STEEPER THEN BEFORE THEY KNOW THEY HAVE US ” US PLAYERS ” SINCE WE DONT HAVE MANY OPTIONS BUT STILL BETTER THEN NONE

  7. Mary Says:

I just got an email from Ecocard today, saying that as of August 24 they are done with US customers. I’d suggest if you have money with them, get it out now. Net Teller just opened up a 6 month window where you can get any funds they have been holding hostage.
Lets face it folks! The US government has made it so we have very few options. I’ve gotten the impression in recent months that the casinos don’t really want to deal with us. We’re just too much trouble.
As of now it looks like Click2Pay is our only option left. Of course you have to have an existing account. If you are lucky enough to cash in, don’t use them unless it’s for at least $1500. They won’t do it! The alternative is to wait about a month for the check from the casino. But don’t bother asking support where the check is. They will have no idea.
The good old USA. What happened? What freedom will they take next in the name of protecting us from ourselves?

  8. Merry Says:

Hi David, I am a US player, and of course, I have had many problems with depositing. I had Ecocard but now I have an account with the new service, Quick Tender, but so far I have never been able to make a deposit with AllSlots. I really miss playing on AllSlots. Is there anything else I can do? I would appreciate any help. Merry

  9. David Brickman Says:

    Judy: Thanks for your comments.

Nicolette: I am sure a lot of people share your feelings. Thanks for writing in.

Donna: Appreciate the comments. I feel very comfortable saying that you wont get that treatment from the folks who work the Jackpot Factory support. They are truly a top notch bunch.

Corey: I agree with you 100%! We’ve been working with them to sort out some of the issues you have raised. Although we are not responsible for their activities ultimately we want to make sure our players are getting the best service possible from the companies with work with.

Tina: Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. It gives me some added encouragement to continue!

Kandace: Sorry you are not satisfied with the new brand. I’ll pass along your comments to our finance team and have them bring it to their attention.

Mary: You sound like a solid voice of reason. Don’t give up the fight!

Merry: Glad to hear from you. If you email your account to our support team we can help you register for a Click2Pay account. The only other suggestion is try using your credit card and hope the transaction gets through! Good luck!

What about the people who haven’t got the febuary withdrawls? I am still waiting!!! keep being told financial dept will contact me…no such luck

  11. Lori Edsall Says:

This is interesting information, David. And, yes, I do have an opinion. My take now, as in all of our past, personal communications, is I believe that players value current information and honesty above all else. While any internet site will be visited by users that span a wide range of abilities, skill sets, interests and intellect, those in positions of authority would do well to consider that range in their publications. I have a question: Do you anticipate Quick Tender being made available at all JP gaming sites, soon? And if so, would this not facilitate your ability to pay out pending withdrawals to US players that have been in limbo for an unneecessarily long period of time? I would think this option would be an ideal method by which to retain the heretofore unblemished record of your organization and further ensure the continuted patronage of your group of casions by US players and their funds.

    Thank you.

  12. erica hernandez Says:

i thnk that what the lady Donna and everry one else who left these comment are evry right when they say what happened to usa and our freedom the us goverment is very quick to take our money and taxes but when it comes to us usa player who would liek to be able to spend our money that we worked very hard for noone else we cant i think this is very unacceptable for the usa goverment to tell us where we can and cant sepnd out money and for the banks to decline our transactions from our credit cards when they dont actually work for our money but have no proble storing our money in their bank buit think they ave rigth to tell us what we can anxd cant spend our moeny at this is ridiculoues and need sto change we are adults and should be abnle to do what we pleaase especially when itr comes to our money

  13. Terry M. Says:

With all of the trouble that USA players are having, I’m starting to doubt the honesty of the casino sites. Does anyone else have these doubts? Is it really fair play or are they just letting us deposit our money with no chance of winning? Especially, since it is difficult for us to make withdrawals.

  14. TINA Says:

I FELL THE ONLY REASON THE US GOVERMENT WANT TO CONTROLL ON LINE CASINO IS BECAUSE THEY WANT IN ON THE MONEY BEING MADE OUT SIDE OF THE US. COME ON US IF YOU WANT TO SELL MC DONALD AMD CHIKEN ALL OVER THE WORLD. YOU NEED TO LET THE REST OF THE WORLD SELL IN THE US.

  15. Nicolette Says:

Terry M-PLEASE do not doubt the honesty of All Slots Casino. One night in January of 2006 I sat here in shock when I hit Treasure Nile slots for over 67,000!!! I had my doubts and had won little amounts here and there, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that a progressive win could ever come my way! The only downside of it was that the “go between” (ex:Click2Pay, Neteller) took what I had initially bet and one of them would not even let me withdrawal my money from them. THE INTEGRITY DOES NOT EXIST WITH ALL SLOTS CASINO, IT EXISTS WITH THE PAY VENDORS. I’ve been prayin’ every day for an answer for players in the USA. Good Luck to all and have a blessed day!

  16. Terry M. Says:

Nicolette, thank you for your reassurance, it makes me feel somewhat better. Are you saying that what you deposited with the pay vendors, they did not return nor let you withdraw what they withheld? Did the casino send you the difference with a check or you didn’t get that either? Thanks, for your input! I do enjoy playing on line, because there are no land based casinos close to where I live. Hopefully, this will all get resolved soon!

  17. Nicolette Says:

Terry, the pay vendors would not allow me to withdrawal my initial deposit, I was forced to “play it off”. I was not too happy about that but the casino had nothing to do with it and I am happy to say that I did get paid my winnings minus my initial deposit. I only live 2 hours from Atlantic City, NJ and have other land based casinos are going up closer to home, but I also prefer to play at home online!

  18. Pat Says:

Tis a sad state of affairs. Of course, Frist retired after he stirred up all this “stuff”. If I can manage to have a deposit squeak by - I have never had the slightest doublt that All Slots or any member of the Jackpot Factory would leave me high and dry or take advantage of our problems. I have managed to cash in rather small amounts and never for an instant thought they would not pay. They will not taking advantage of our situation. We will be paid! Slow, yes -but the check is in the mail! I’ve tried the local casinos and have lost more in one weekend than I do all month online. I set my limits and can’t believe how fast the $$$ goes. Online, if I have a bad streak, I can go load the dishwasher etc and try again later. After I spend 45 minutes driving to a casino - land up spending more since who wants to drive all that way for 20 minutes of play, I am not insensitive to those who have gambling problems - but they will find a way to gamble come heck or high water - and those whose children gamble - just where are you that you did not noticed increased and unauthorized expenditures on your credit card? Thousands of kids kill theirselves and their friends (including my own son) each year. Do we outlaw cars? How many purchase liquor or have a friend to purchase it? Or perhaps even hit their parent’s stash? Do we outlaw that as well? We’re in our eighties or close to, paid our taxes and are entitled to spend what is left in our final years as we feel fit.
