I was reading this week about how the UK Gambling Commission announced that the numbers of people placing a bet through a mobile phone in the UK is on the rise. There was actually an interesting article about this on Online Casino News.com (http://www.onlinecasinonews.com/ocnv2_1/article/article.asp?id=14272).
Almost three per cent of adults stating that they had used their handset as a gambling tool at least once in the month before the survey. We too have seen a rise in our Wild Jack Mobile Casino offering. July was our strongest month ever in terms of total number of active players, which was a 20% increase from our second best month which was in May.
It’s certainly going to be interesting to see more and more online casino sites enter into the mobile gaming arena. At this point there is relatively little competition and the players in the market are nearly all early adapters. Forecasts for when mobile will go mainstream ranges from 2008, all the way through 2011. Some of the biggest obstacles in this market are technological compatibility and lack of awareness.
All said and done, industry insiders are keeping close tabs on mobile gaming to see how and when it flourishes like online casino’s did back in the late 90’s. And while I am not sure if mobile will be bigger than online, I am certain that with more and more new technologies, the Jackpot Factory will continue to provide an exciting casino atmosphere!

I prefer the online version myself, I find the screen on the cell phone too small.

I actually tried the mobile casino on the Jackpot Factory - Wild Jack Mobile Casino, and I have to say that I was pleasently surprised. I also thought that the screen size matters, but the graphics are so rich, and there’s actually sound in the games too!
I found that it’s just like playing online, only now I can take my casino wherever I go, and win cash away from home!
