As I’ve mentioned numerous times, online casino operators have a special partnership with people we refer to as affiliates. One of our long time partners is Slot Junkies

He’s posted a must read article relating to variance, for anyone who gambles online. Variance is a topic that casino players are often unaware of and it can dramatically affect a players bankroll. I think he’s hit the issue right on the head. Before you jump onto any slot machine, be sure to know what you are getting yourself into. Affiliate sites like this are a great source of information as to lower risk and higher risk games. Generally the type of game is mostly based on your budget and your willingness to risk your money.

So, pick your casino, choose the right game, and hopefully you’ll walk away a winner!

Congratulations to Margie G. of Canada, who won $11,000 on Lots a Loot Progressive Slot!

Margie, what do you plan on doing with your winnings? I guess people would prefer to know, what’s your winning strategy!

Well done to our latest online progressive slot winner!

All Slots Casino extends a huge congratulations to Adrian M. from Alberta, who just won $47,912 on Break da Bank Again! Way to go Adrian! (If you’re also thinking about Rocky now please let me know!)

Today’s post will focus on the state of California. Everyone knows that the state of California is an disarray. I hope I don’t get in trouble for besmirching their reputation! Anyway, some people in California seem to think that online gaming is going to save their collective behinds by bringing in some much needed revenue. We have a name for those people – morons.

California currently has 91 card clubs, 58 tribal gaming compacts and 49 non tribal gaming compacts. To think that they are ever all going to agree on anything is simply dreaming. It’s fairly clear that everyone who wants to get involved in online casino gaming is looking out for their own business interest which makes organizing legalized online gaming in Californian very problematic.

So what will happen there? NOBODY KNOWS! Alternatively you could pay some high profile attorney a bucket of money and get the same answers 

Stay tuned for more about online gaming in North America!

More From GIGSE

I returned from GIGSE with a terrible sinus infection, which explains my prolonged absence!

GIGSE, was an absolutely fascinating conference focusing on the legal status of online gaming in North America. For today’s purposes I’ll focus on the 4 most progressive US states in terms of their approach to this matter. They are Florida, California, New Jersey and Illinois.

Illinois is currently the only state that has approved online penetration and are waiting for the DOJ (department of justice) to provide them with the Federal approval as well. They are not waiting for the DOJ’s approval and are currently finalizing the state bill to move forward with the proposed online lottery license. Currently they are going to promote 2 games only – the Powerball and Mega Millions. After these two games will be approved they will definitely continue with the rest of the games which a huge part of them are scratch games.

There’s a lot more to write about the other stats but that will have to wait until next week.

Have an excellent weekend!

Live from Montreal…

The GIGSE gaming conference got off to a nice start yesterday. Lots of different people from the online casino world and the land-based casino world all in the same room en-mass probably for the first time in the industry’s history. There were a lot of introductions to online casino 101 style stuff and a lot of stuff regarding legal strategy.

One thing is certain…The legal landscape in the USA is going to be extremely tough to navigate and only experienced and patient operators will probably be able to pull through. Many presenters even expressed doubts the established land-based operators would be able to successfully transition into an online business model.

There is much debate in GIGSE about whether or not land-based and online can coexist and complement each other, or will they cannibalize each other. More on that tomorrow!

GIGSE here I come…

This week the GIGSE conference is being hosted in Montreal. Should be an interesting event and will give us a chance to hear all about the North American online gaming environment. I’ll be publishing posts as often as possible about what news & updates we get there. Should be a very interesting week…
